Exhibition of the book illustrators Alexander and Valery Traugot will be held in the Russian-German House.
The brothers Alexander Georgiyevich Traugot (1931) and Valery Georgiyevich Traugot (1936 — 2009) are painters, graphic artists, book illustrators and sculptors. Born into a Russian German family of artists in Leningrad, they both became Honored Artists of Russia.
Alexander and Valery Traugot got more than 30 awards of the All-Russian competitions, with 14 of them being first place diplomas.
The brothers’ main teacher was their father Georgy Nikolaevich Traugot. He took part in their first book illustrations. The artists made illustrations for more than 150 books.
The exhibition will be held from November 25 till February 25, 2015.
