“Gazprom” transmitted the preliminary estimates of additional gas supplies through “Blue Stream” to Turkey. This was reported by RIA Novosti with the reference to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz. According to the calculations of the Russian company, it will be possible to increase gas supplies to the country at the beginning of 2016.

      The need for additional supplies is connected with an increase in gas consumption in Turkey, especially in winter. The Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak, in his turn, following the results of the meeting of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission, said that the plans to increase gas supplies to Turkey require additional investments, and their economic feasibility is yet to be assessed. “Gazprom” and the Turkish “Botas” are working on the technical and economic parameters now.
