Cooperation with the “Rosatom” corporation is a top priority for the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in terms of partnerships with high-tech industries.

      This was stated by the President of RAS Vladimir Fortov, according to “RIA Novosti”. According to him, the Russian Academy of Sciences has a special program, according to which the Academy of Sciences jointly with “Rosatom” fund joint projects.

      Twice a year the partners gather a council reviewing these studies. “I can draw a few world-class examples, when the experimental potential of the industry led to the result which became a world record: pressure of deuterium plasma, discovery of phase transitions, adiabatic compression and many others” – Fortov noted. According to him, these results not only are important for the nuclear industry itself, but also have a great fundamental importance.
