International Centre for Humanitarian Demining

The Ministry of Defense of Russia will organize an International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, as RIA “Novosti” reports with the reference to the deputy head of the department Anatoly Antonov.

      Among other things the centre will be engaged in the fight against handmade explosive devices. Russian specialists are planning to participate in the work of the expert group on demining which will meet in December 2014 under the chairmanship of Vietnam and India. On Thursday Anatoly Antonov participates in the first meeting of the Dialogue of Defense Ministers of the States of South and South-East Asia in Colombo.
