The Shchusev Museum of Architecture has opened the exhibition Ceramics in Architecture.

      The project is based on comparison of the old and the new: exhibits from the Architecture Museum’s funds of construction materials are displayed along with works by modern artists and architects. Using traditional materials and technologies, such as ceramic tiles, smalt, etc., they create art objects that transform the space and fill it with new meaning.

      The exhibition demonstrates that the art of ceramics revived today in the context of architecture gives infinite opportunities for up-dating urbanscapes.

      The exhibition will be held till February 1, 2014.
