Defenders of the Sergey Yesenin memorial estate in the Ryazan Region have addressed a letter to the Presidential Administration.
They request to save the museum reserve ground from illegal redevelopment. The letter was signed by 65 thousand Russians, including the popular actor Sergey Bezrukov and the well-known writer Zakhar Prilepin.
Sergey Bezrukov known for his role of Sergey Yesenin in the same name series hopes that the authorities of the Ryazan Region will take necessary steps to protect the culture monument. “I have always been and will be against private house development in any reserved area. We must preserve the original state of historical places, especially as regards Yesenin’s places, such as the Konstantinovo Village, where the great Russian poet was born and lived” — the actor explained.
The authors of the letter report that the State Inspectorate of Construction Supervision for the Ryazan Region keeps issuing permits for construction works in protected areas, which contradicts the president’s order.
