The Museum Of Childhood

“The Central Children’s Store on Lubyanka” (CCS on Lubyanka) will open “The Museum of Childhood”, its exhibition will display objects and toys purchased in the store at different times.

      The area of the exhibition of “The Museum of Childhood” will make up about 100 square meters. In addition to the main museum space, the thematic exhibitions will involve passages, corridors and the atrium of the Central Children’s Store on Lubyanka.

      The museum will feature collections connected with the history of the Central Children’s Store and cover the topic of childhood. The museum will open on the seventh floor of the Central Children’s Store on Lubyanka simultaneously with the opening of the store. It will present children’s products and toys of 50s-80s of XX century, including first Russian teddy bears, tilting dolls, clockwork toys, cars, books, cartoons and many other things. All visitors of the exhibition can discover the history of their favorite toys and even touch them with their own hands.
