The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg has become the most popular tourist attraction in Russia, which gathered the largest number of user reviews of the travel community TripAdvisor, as the release by the press office of the online service said. According to the service, the Hermitage has gathered 2,228 user reviews this year.
The second most popular attraction is the St. Petersburg Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood with 2169 reviews. The third line of the ranking is taken by the Grand Palace in Peterhof: 1,814 users have left comments on this sight. The fourth and fifth lines are occupied by the Red Square in Moscow (1,804 reviews) and St. Basil’s Cathedral (1,301 reviews). Moscow, in turn, took the lead in the ranking of the most popular Russian cities. 73,040 users have left reviews about this city.
The second line is taken by St. Petersburg with 51,424 reviews. Yekaterinburg takes the third line with a significantly smaller number of comments – 7,523. They are followed by Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad and Yaroslavl. A total of 10 most popular Russian destinations have received 168,180 reviews.
