Lack Of Snow In Sochi Spoils Ski Season

The ski season at the “Rosa Khutor” resort in Krasnaya Polyana may open later than it was scheduled due to warm weather and lack of snow cover.

“Due to the weather conditions in Sochi (sharp and steady warming) and the lack of snow on the ski trails of the “Rosa Khutor” resort the decision on opening of the trails for skiing will be taken later” - the press service of the resort reports. If the season opens as scheduled, the skiing area will operate in a confined mode to ensure the safety and comfort of skiers. The pre-emptive right will be granted to the holders of annual and seasonal ski passes, as well as the guests of the resort staying in the hotels on the territory of “Rosa Khutor”. The box offices of the resort will sell only leisure (excursion) tickets.
