One can take a virtual tour of “Mosfilm” on Google web-site starting from today, as the blog of the Russian Google representation said. Under the joint project of the Academy of Culture of Google and the “Mosfilm” film concern, the film studios and movie studio sites have been digitized for the first time, including technical rooms, stands with photographs, costumes and scenery models, as well as the areas of the museum of the “Mosfilm” film concern.
In particular, the museum shows the collection of retro cars of the studio, for example, “Volga” from the film “Beware of the Car” and the captured “Rolls-Royce” from “The Elusive Avengers”. A piece of scenery named “Old Moscow” has been also digitalized, it was built for the film “The Rider Named Death” by Karen Shakhnazarov and occupies an entire city block. Here you can see a lordly manor, a pharmacy, a bakery and churches the way they looked in Moscow of late XIX - early XX centuries. These pieces of scenery after slight modifications were also used for shooting such films as “The White Tiger” and “Anna Karenina”.
