A fisherman has rescued a man with a child in a snowmobile that fell under ice in Tatarstan.

      The accident happened in the water area of the Volga River near the settlement of Staroye Pobedilovo.

      According to eyewitnesses, the snowmobile was heading towards the bank. It fell through a gully in ice about 30 meters away from the bank.

      A local fisherman who turned to be nearby rescued the child and his father from the ice-cold water.

      Rescuers remind of the danger of walking on cat ice and the prohibition to ride and drive on ice.
