Ufa Hashtagization
19.12.2014 15:57
Ufa Hashtagization

It was attempted to implement universal “hashtagization” in Ufa.

The idea was created in the Republican School of Russian Politics during consideration of the projects on preparation for the upcoming summits of SCO and BRICS. The author of the project was Ruslan Khuziev, his idea was recognized one of the most efficient and low-budget. The young man offers to support the initiative of all residents of Bashkiria before the international summits of SCO and BRICS: Ufa will greet 10-12 thousand visitors from around the world in July, 2015. It is a great chance for the republic to announce itself and to boost its awareness. The essence is simple: once we know that tourists and visitors make photos of the sights and place these photos on social networks, providing them with hashtags, they should be given “tips” – the exact spelling variants. Each sight is assigned an “official” hashtag in advance, a tablet with its spelling is placed close to the object. The second function of the tablets with hashtags is to remind the visitors of the possibility of “signing” pictures. As far as the Internet tradition is to give several hashtags to a photo, the first combination on all Ufa tablets will be #UFA. The author of the idea together with the city administration and the Ministry of Culture of the region supporting him believe that the city awareness will grow with absolutely no efforts and at almost no costs.
