Secrets of Old Dolls Displayed in St. Petersburg

The Secrets of Old Dolls exhibition opened in St. Petersburg shows the miracle of restoration.

Visitors of the exhibition held in Petersburg Doll Museum located in Vasilyevsky Island will see antique dolls made in Russia and abroad in the19th – 20th centuries.

The restorer Svetlana Moiseyeva gave second life to the provided exhibits. The exposition is accompanied with photos showing the process of reviving the unique dolls.

The Petersburg Dolls Museum was founded under the aegis of the Russian Ethnography Museum in 1998. It was based on a few private collections. Nowadays the funds are replenished with modern and antiquarian art dolls. It is the only museum in St. Petersburg giving a full picture about the art dolls.
