Russia Became the First Country To Be Visited by Santa Claus This Year

Santa Claus who set out to give Christmas presents to children visited Moscow, according to the Unified Command of the North American Aerospace Defense tracking his movements, in accordance with the tradition.

      This year Russia became the first country to be visited by Santa Claus. He gave presents in the Far East, visiting the settlements of Chaplino (Chukotka Autonomous District), Bilibino (Chukotka Autonomous District) and Elizovo (Kamchatka), as well as Nevelsk (Sakhalin oblast), Magadan, Birobidzhan, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Yakutsk. Then Santa Claus left Russia heading towards the Pacific Ocean. He has already visited such countries as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and others. Santa Claus also managed to distribute presents in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. According to NORAD, Santa Claus has already distributed more than 2 billion presents.
