New Location of Teatr.doc Needs Reconstruction

Teatr.doc - the Moscow documentary play theater – has to vacate its old premises in Trekhprudny Lane.

It has been located there since 2002. However, a recent decision of Moscow authorities compels it to move to a new place.

The building that will house the theatre is a wing of the Savin-Zakrevsky Estate (1777) in 3, Spartakovskaya Street. As the theater director Elena Gremina reported in Facebook, “everything historical is destroyed inside, there are only walls and façade remaining”.

“Enormous work has to be done there and a lot of money is required. However, it is all surmountable. The theater cannot be closed. Because we are not afraid of them!” - the principal director of Teatra.doc Mikhail Ugarov posted in Facebook along with the first version of the interior arrangement of the theater’s new premises.
