The Seventh Son movie directed by Sergei Bodrov Sr. has set a record in Russian film distribution.
The film started with the best box office among all the films that went on release on January 1, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Universal Pictures press service.
“Sergei Bodrov’s Hollywood fantasy The Seventh Son collected over 500 million rubles on the first weekend (January 1-4) of 2015 in Russia, became the undisputed leader and left behind the releases, such as Exodus: Gods and Kings, Three Strongmen, and others” — the film company declared.
The Seventh Son is a fantasy based on the book by Joseph Delaney. The leads are played by Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges.
