2D Art Dolls to be Exhibited in St. Petersburg

The exhibition Paper Realms of Maria Bokhan will be opened in the Petersburg Dolls Museum from January 12.

The exposition will consist of unique two-dimensional paper dolls.

The artist paints the material will acrylic colors and uses scissors instead of a pencil for “drawing”. The dolls made with scissors and glue look amazingly expressive. All of her characters have peculiar mimicry and emotions of their own. 

The exhibition hinges on the subject matter of fairy tale characters. 

The exhibition runs from January 12 to February 15, 2015.
