Chelyabinsk cultural workers were wished a happy New Year by three different Fathers Frost at once on December 26.

      Together with the Russian wizard the regional Ministry of Culture was visited by his colleagues from Germany and Chuvashia, as the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Chelyabinsk Oblast reports.

      Weichnachtsmann is a traditional Father Frost in Germany. He is dressed in a red coat, belted with a chain and holds a rod in one hand for punishing naughty children and a bag of gifts in another hand for those who were obedient in the past year. He has an assistant - Kristkind dressed in all white, with a veil on her face. She treats children with sweets, they, in turn, sing songs and tell her poems.

      As against the Russian counterpart, Weichnachtsmann prefers riding a donkey, so German kids put hay in their shoes for Weichnachtsmann‘s donkey to eat before a long journey.

      The house of the Chuvash Father Frost – Khyol Muchi - stands on the Red Square of the city of Cheboksary, near Cheboksary Bay. He lives there with his granddaughter Yur Pike, and has wonderful artifacts: a trunk fulfilling wishes, a pendulum clock bringing happiness and a speaking samovar.
