Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications takes preventive measures for federal and regional Russian mass media.

These measures are directly related to the tragedy in France. The agency has reminded that by law any mockery of sanctuaries can be claimed as stirring of religious discord, which is direct violation of the federal laws On Mass Media and On Countering Extremist Activity.

Kamchatka journalists report that the local department of Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications has mailed them warning against “posting any caricatures of religious figures in mass media”.
