Another 50 additional positions of drugs have been included into the list of vital and essential drugs (VED).

This was reported by RIA “Novosti” with the reference to the press secretary of the Ministry of Health of Russia Oleg Salagai. “According to the results of the work carried out, the Committee decided to add 50 positions to the list of VED drugs, introduce six new dosage forms of the already listed VED positions and remove three positions from the list of VED” – Salagai stated. He also specified that the list has been revised for the first time since 2010.

“The new VED list includes four additional VED drugs for treatment of patients with the diseases of so-called “Seven Nosologies” in cases when other drugs do not work or are not tolerated by the patient. Thus, the drugs will become more available for approximately 30% of patients suffering from diseases included into “Seven Nosologies” – Salagai added.
