Tests Of Angara Rockets May Be Completed By 2020

The tests of the “Angara” carrier rockets can be completed by 2020.

      It is reported by Vladimir Nesterov, the General Designer of Launch Vehicles of Light and Heavy Classes of the State Space Research and Production Centre (SSRPC) named after Khrunichev. “Ten launches are to be carried out under the flight test program: five launches of the light carrier rocket and five launches of the heavy one. After that we will be ready to add the vehicle to our armoury”- Nesterov stated. He said that “the flight tests of the “Angara” carrier rocket are to be completed in 2020”.

      The carrier rocket “Angara-A5” was successfully launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on December 23.
