Lumiere Brothers Photography Centre holds the exhibition ProFactory. Industrial Photography of the 20th Century.
ProFactory is an industrial story told by means of photography, collage and cinema. It is a sort of media archeology working in the field of visual images.
The exposition brings together photos of various genres and styles by Soviet classics (Boris Ignatovich, Max Alpert, Yakov Halip, Mark Markov-Greenberg), independent social photographers of the 1980s -70s, (Vladimir Sokolayev and Vladimir Zharov), and young modern authors (Mikhail Rozanov, Denis Tarasov, and Alexander Sorin); as well as avant-garde cinema (Sergey Eisenstein and Dziga Vertov) and modern documentary (Sergey Loznitsa).
The exhibition will consist of the works kept the collection of the Lumiere Brothers Photography Centre, as well as modern photos, audio and video records and publications.
The exhibition runs till March 1.
