Russia’s largest Forex broker “Alpari” closes its office in London. The corresponding information is contained on the company’s website.
“Alpari” explained that there was an exceptional volatility and lack of liquidity on the foreign exchange market. These consequences were caused by the removal of restrictions of the franc exchange rate by the National Bank of Switzerland. The majority of the customers of the London branch incurred losses exceeding the amount funds on their accounts. The company took these losses upon itself, which led to its insolvency.
The company’s representative Andrei Loboda told to “Lenta.Ru” that at that moment “Alpari” was not experiencing any financial difficulties and was operating normally. “Alpari” is one of the largest Forex companies in Russia founded in 1998. During this time the broker has registered nearly one million trading accounts in Russia and the CIS.
