Special programs for Russian pensioners are to be introduced in order to teach them some basic computer skills. The respective decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev yesterday.

The main goal of the new social programs is to make many state informational sources, websites and Internet services understandable for Russian retirees. The programs will be financed by the Russian government together with Russia's Pension Fund.

In particular, the new decree provides for some changes in several documents, which regulate the realization of social programs and support them with financing and material resources.

According to the decree, the reconstruction and modernization of the rooms in social support organizations for computer classes must be finished not later than the beginning of the next fiscal year.
