165 tour operators have been excluded from the Federal Register since the beginning of the year.
It was reported by Interfax, quoting the press secretary of the Russian Agency for Tourism Irina Shchegolkova. According to her, the cause of delisting is often failure to provide documents on financial guarantees.
“Due to the difficult situation on the market, companies have problems with financial guarantees which they are solving now. There is also a technical issue: they must provide us with the documents for the three months, besides there were holidays” - she said. According to Shchegolkova, if companies did not have enough time to submit the documents and were excluded from the register, it does not mean that they won’t be restored later.
“The register is updated every week. Every time we exclude about 15-20 companies, sometimes more. Some of them return later, new tour operators are also registered” – Shchegolkova added.
