Beijing-Moscow Railway Will Cost 242 Billion Dollars

China will build a high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Moscow worth 1.5 trillion yuans (242 billion dollars).

It is reported by Bloomberg with the reference to the statements by the Beijing authorities in the Weibo social network. It is assumed that the total length of the railway will make up seven thousand kilometers. It will pass through Kazakhstan, and the travel time will amount to two days.

The agency emphasizes the fact that China is promoting its high-speed technologies in the field of railway construction at the international market against the background of deteriorating relations between Russia, Europe and the USA and the attempts of the Russian economy to cope with the fall in oil prices.
