Museum of Moscow has opened an exhibition dedicated to the Moscow State University.
The visitors will be introduced to the history of one of Russia’s first higher educational institutions, which turns 260 this year.
The university was founded thanks to activity of the outstanding scientist, the first Russian academician Mikhail Lomonosov. Throughout three centuries the Moscow State University has played an outstanding role in spreading and promoting scientific knowledge and plays a leading part in public life of Russia.
The exposition will present ancient materials of the university students and professors. A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to the university printing house, which was put into operation in 1756.
The exhibition runs till February 22.
