The KultProject Gallery has opened an exhibition of works by the legendary artists Dmitry Plavinsky (1937 — 2012) and Maria Plavinskaya.
The exposition includes more than thirty works by Dmitry Plavinsky. A considerable part of it consists of etchings created by him during the period from the early 1960s till the late 1970s.
Works by Maria Plavinskaya are interesting first of all in the sense that she takes photography as a starting point on the way to creating a complex art image. By means of changing the contrast range and color palette of her photos she combines them into large compositions, in which every element is important for dynamic development of the whole.
The works by Dmitry Plavinsky and Maria Plavinskaya brought together in the exhibition convey deep spiritual affinity of the two artists.
The exhibition runs till February 22.
