The Commission for Awarding Prizes of the Moscow Government has announced the winners of the competition for prizes for outstanding achievements in the field of natural sciences, engineering sciences and humanities for 2014, these were 17 young scientists, according to the Press Service of the Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship (DSIPE).
The winners were the scientists who presented their research papers to the expert board of the competition. A total of 207 applications from 310 representatives of the scientific community have been considered by the expert board. As a result, 10 works recognized as winners were selected. Authors and authoring teams were awarded prizes of 1 million roubles for each research. According to the Head of DSIPE, the Chairman of the Council for Science Oleg Bocharov, special attention during the selection of works was paid to the potential of their further implementation.
