Nikolay Rusakov. East through Dreamer's Eyes

Open Club in Spiridonovka has opened the exhibition East through Dreamer's Eyes by Nikolay Rusakov (1888-1941).

Traveling to the East made the artist Nikolay Rusakov even a greater master of color, who skillfully conveys all the charms of faraway countries in genre paintings, landscapes and portraits.

The artist’s honoring of both European and Eastern painting make his Oriental series vivacious, substantial, occasionally naive, but always profound and interesting.

The Open Club present us with another remarkable and yet not so well-known artist and pays a tribute to his outstanding, beautiful and tragic destiny.

The exhibition runs till February 24, 2015.
