14-year-old boy rescued his 4-year-old sister from fire in Nizhnyaya Tura of the Sverdlovsk Region.

      Their apartment on the 4th floor of the 5-storeyed residential building was on fire.

      According to the young hero, there were 5 people, including him, his little sister, mother, grandmother and grandfather in their apartment in the Mashinostroiteley Street. His mother and grandmother were watching TV, when suddenly there was a click, the screen blinked off and smoke started filling the room. The adults hit the panic button and started running around the apartment in search of fire. The grandmother opened the window and it provoked even more smoke in the apartment.

      “There was a water bottle with nearby. I wetted a napkin, covered the face of my sister, wrapped her in a fur coat and brought her out of the apartment full of smoke onto the staircase flight of the 3rd floors”, - Kirill Osten told.

      Firefighters arrived soon, took three people out of the apartment, and evacuated two children and 14 more residents from the staircase landing.
