Societe Generale Will Fire 1.5 Thousand Employees

The French Finance Corporation “Societe Generale” plans to fire about 1.5 thousand employees in Russia in 2015.

It was reported by Bloomberg with the reference to sources familiar with the situation. The reason for job cuts in the Russian subsidiaries, according to the source, is the decrease in profitability due to the worsening economic situation in the country. During last year “Societe Generale” has already fired about 1.5 thousand people in Russia. The other day Societe Generale reported that the losses of the company in Russia made up 497 million euros in 2014 against a net profit of 165 million euros in 2013.
