According to the data of the Geophysical Service of Russian Academy of Sciences, the Kamchatka volcano Shiveluch threw ashes to a height of 8.6 kilometers on Wednesday morning.
This was reported by the Directorate of the Emergency Situations Ministry for the Kamchatka Territory. According to the rescuers, the wind carried an ash plume 80 kilometers to the east. No fall of ashes in inhabited localities has been recorded. The enormous volcano was assigned one of the most hazardous danger aviation codes, an “orange” one.
