Exhibition of Ruslan Vashkevich. In Spite of Everything

Winzavod Center of Modern Art has opened an exhibition of the Belarusian artist Ruslan Vashkevich, a participant of the Venice Biennale.

The exhibition In Spite of Everything is a social experiment carried out by Ruslan Vashkevich and expressed by him in the form of art.

The exposition hinges on a painting that depicts four persons looking into one point with intriguing and even frightening facial expressions. However, it remains a secret what they are steering at, because the mysterious subject is outside the painting frame. The answer is to be searched in photos and videos displayed in the depth of the exhibition space.

In this project Ruslan Vashkevich studies the facets and specifics of human psychology and the subconscious mind.

The free-to-enter exhibition runs till April 11.  Monday is a day off.
