Vkhutemas Gallery has opened Yury Sazonov’s exhibition named The Infinity.
Being an architect, Yury Sazonov mostly concentrates on various structures and constructions in his paintings. For this reason urban landscapes, both Russian and foreign, can be often found in his paintings. Working in an expressionistic manner, the artist does not aim at depicturing reality, but fixes specific details and lines, which attract him for one reason or another.
Besides, portraits take an important place in Yury Sazonov's creativity. They include images of his friends and relatives, as well as portraits of famous people, such as Isaac Levitan and Niccolo Paganini.
His painting and graphic art works displayed at the exhibition are complemented with ceramics.
The exhibition runs till March 25.
