Exhibition for 80th Anniversary of Alfred Schnittke

The Prokofiev Museum has opened an exhibition timed to the 80th anniversary since the birth of Alfred Schnittke.

      The exhibition under the title Schnittke has become the first project of such a large scale dedicated to the composer. It presents over two hundred exhibits provided from the biggest Russian museums and private collections.

      The project aims to show the modern view of life and works by the outstanding musician of the 20th century. The exhibition space is arranged so that everyone will be able to have one’s own opinion of the personality of Alfred Schnittke, who had qualities of both an ingeniously gifted musician and a distinctive philosopher.

      The exhibition runs till June 30.
