Modern Book Illustrations to Embellish Houses in Moscow

Illustrations to books by modern Russian writers will appear on walls of Moscow houses.

The illustrations will be drawn in the run-up to the City in Words festival of literature and public art.

Moscow artists will create illustrations to works by Zakhar Prilepin, Narine Abgaryan, Evgeny Vodolazkin, Marina Stepnova, and other contemporary Russian writers. Every picture is planned to be supplied with a QR code with reference to the book.

The works will be selected in a competitive program. As a result, Moscow will get new tourist sights, with special routes and audioguides developed for them.
