The President of Russia Vladimir Putin will visit Beijing in September; there he will participate in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
According to TASS, this was reported by the Head of the Kremlin Administration Sergei Ivanov. He noted that “the core of the anti-fascist coalition was made up by the four states - the Soviet Union, Great Britain, the US and China”. According to Ivanov, a joint celebration of this anniversary by Moscow and Beijing is a good way to “recall the contribution of the Soviet people and the Chinese people to the victory over fascism and Japanese militarism”. The official also said that the military of China will take part in the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9. The Head of the Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Zhanshu, in his turn, said that the celebrations in Beijing were scheduled for September 3.
“We invite the high-level delegation from Russia to these celebrations” - he stressed. According to Zhanshu, Beijing expects that the Russian military will take part in the parade that will be held in the Chinese capital. As it was previously reported, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will visit Moscow on May 8-9.
