The Russian tourist objects are highly appreciated in Europe.

In 2015 the Directorate for the Promotion of Territories “AGT” continues to implement the project “Russian Cities in 100 International Rankings”.

Moscow is present in almost 100 foreign rankings every year, Petersburg - in 40 of rankings, Novosibirsk and Kazan - in more than 15 ones, Sochi and Yekaterinburg – in more than 10 ones. The largest representation of Russian cities can be seen in the rankings covering two areas: “Tourism” and “Education”. The smallest representation in international rankings belongs to the Far Eastern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. The most even representation is characteristic of the regions of the Urals Federal District. Vladislav Shulaev, the Director for Promotion of Territories of “AGT” Communications Agency, says that Russian cities are represented in international rankings to much more extent than it is commonly believed

Thus, according to the opinions of users of the global web portal TripAdvisor, best European facilities in several categories unexpectedly include Russian ones: the top 25 of seaquariums includes the one in Sochi, the top 25 of best amusement parks – the St. Petersburg “Divo-Ostrov” and the top 25 of zoos in Europe features the Novosibirsk Zoo.
