Two Lost Architecture Monuments to be Reconstructed in Kazan

The government of the Republic of Tatarstan plans to reconstruct two lost architecture monuments in Kazan.

The House of Safa Bakhteyev, which was built in the Old-Tatar Settlement built in the early 20th century, will be reconstructed. This monument of architecture which was city property of the Moscow District of Kazan fell into decay due to lack of financing.

The second monument to be reconstructed is a dwelling house built in Bolshaya Krasnaya Street in 1940 and demolished before celebrations of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. A criminal case was brought by the prosecutor's office upon this incident.
