The Moscow State University (MSU) got the 25th place in the list of the most dependable educational institutions in the world, according to the World Reputation Rankings by Times Higher Education.
The 2015 World Reputation Rankings are based on the evaluations by more than 10,000 scholars from 142 countries. Like in previous years, the first places in the rating were occupied by US and British schools with Harvard topping the list, followed by the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford.
The current 25th place is the highest position MSU ever occupied in the Times’ list. In 2014 the Moscow university was placed among the top-60 most respected universities in the world. Another Russian university in the Times' top-100 this year is the Saint Petersburg State University, which is ranked 71-80. It is the first time the Saint Petersburg State University entered the the World Reputation Rankings.
