The second day of the 30th Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was opened by the joint show performed by the students and graduates 2014-2015 of Vyacheslav Zaitsev Fashion Laboratory. The new collections were presented by: Katya Aslamova, Galina Biryukova, Julia Vasilyeva, Katerina Gortovanova, Vera Kalugina and Natalya Matveeva.
The collection BOY by Katya Aslamova was designed in the 'sports chic' style and built on the clash of feminine shapes and precise cuts. Collection Rotterdam by Galina Biryukova was inspired by the like-named picture painted by her husband and included asymmetric garments in the dark colour palette.
In the collection Dancing Shadows designer Julia Vasilyeva used the idea of simplest possible tailoring mixed with such decoration elements as yak-fur, cashmere and natural leather. Vera Kalugina presented her début collection Into the Wild in which she mainly focused on work with fabrics - wool pieces knitted manually in the Japanese technique nuno felting and silk dyed with special honey. Natalya Matveeva, founder of the brand M7, showed the collection BEYOND in which the designer paired garments of warm wool with soft veiling-net, neoprene with leather and jacquard with accessories made of crocodile leather.
