This season has all prerequisites for the number of tourists in Sheregesh to exceed one million. The only thing that can interfere with the spring inflow of tourists is the weather.

However, even the old-timers cannot recall such a snowy winter. According to estimates of many experts, the ski season in the Mountain Shoria with so much snow and favourable weather conditions may continue until mid-May. “Judging  from experience, I can say that snow in March, as a rule, is of another quality, it already begins to crystallize, regelate at night and turns into a slush during the day” - the deputy chief of Tashtagolsky search heavy rescue team Aleksei Kiyanitsyn comments. “But now it is the end of March, and there is still a real white winter on the mountain, and the snow is virtually the same as in winter”.
