The fountains of the “Peterhof” State Museum will begin the new season on April 25, as Interfax reports. The solemn opening ceremony of the summer season in Peterhof, according to tradition, will be held in May.

      This year the solemn launch of the fountains is scheduled for 16 May. The festival begins at 1 p.m. Moscow time on the Big Cascade. The summer season of this year in the museum reserve will be marked by the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Grand Peterhof Palace, opening of the pavilions on the islands of Kolonistsky Park after restoration and of two new halls of the Chinese Palace in Oranienbaum, as well as mobile exhibitions and many other interesting events.
