Navigation on Neva opened last weekend in connection with the requests of shipowners and favorable weather conditions. “This year navigation opened a little earlier, on April 4, because good weather has established” - the press service of the Main Directorate of the Emergency Situations Ministry for St. Petersburg explained.

      In accordance with the order of the FBI “Administration of the Volga-Baltic Basin of Inland Waterways”, navigation opened on the sections of the Neva from Blagoveshchensnky Bridge to Bolshoy Obukhovsky Bridge and on Malaya Neva - from the source to Tuchkova Bridge. Navigation on small rivers and channels of St. Petersburg remains closed.
