A.S. Pushkin Moscow Theater has opened its tour in Great Britain today.

      British theatre lovers will see Shakespeare's play Measure for Measure. The play was staged by Declan Donnellan from Great Britain. He is famous for stage productions of Shakespeare’s plays in the largest theaters worldwide. The leading roles are played by the Russian actors Alexander Arsentyev, Alexander Feklistov, Andrey Kuzichev and Anna Khalilulina.

      The first shows will take place on the stage of the well-known Barbican Centre in London. Afterwards the troupe will go to Oxford. The Russian theater will perform 18 times, with the tour lasting till May 2.

      The stage production was already introduced to the European audience. In autumn of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 the Russian actors appeared in front of the Spanish and French visitors. The tickets were sold out long before the tour started and the performances were hailed by European critics.
