Creating a cluster is planned in the form of public-private partnership, where the state will be represented by the advisor of the governor of Moscow region for culture, sport and youth policy Igor Chayka. The personnel of the office of Igor Chayka confirmed the information on the development of the project.
The central segment of the cluster must be a specialized educational centre, where work on problems of shortage of skilled workers in the industry will be done. In addition, there has been planned availability of design offices, creative studios, advertising studios, a large co-working, and a photo studio. It is also expected that campus, exhibition halls and showrooms will be created at the territory of the cluster, providing complete cycle of fulfilling creative ideas of young designers.
The cluster can be created in Khimki, Aprelevka, or Mytishchi. Experts believe that the area of the future centre of design and fashion should not be less than 10 ha, while investment in construction can roughly equal 200-250 million dollars. In the media there used to appear information that the famous couturier Valentin Yudashkin will be directly involved in creating of the cluster, but the press service of his fashion house has not yet provided an official confirmation of this information.
