Relics of World War II Exhibited in Moscow

Moscow History Museum has opened one of the most touching exhibitions about the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition named The Victory tells about how it came to be the victory and what it cost. The exposition presents more than 1000 exhibits, including street name plates from Stalingrad, blockade cards of Leningrad, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya's shoes, Stalin’s famous overcoat, etc.

According to organizers, their main goal is not to teach the visitors but to evoke emotions in them.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War were invited to the exhibition opening.

The head of presidential administration Sergei Ivanov, who is at the same time the chairman of the Kremlin museums board of trustees, was among the first to visit the exhibition.

The exhibition will run till July 20.
