The first defeat after two big victories came to Russian national hockey team this evening, when the Americans gained a 4-2 win over Russia at the 2015 World Hockey Championship in the Czech Republic.
The score was opened on the 7th minute in the first period by Trevor Lewis, then Anton Belov from Russia managed to make an equalizer in the second period. However, in the same period Torey Krug converted a two-man advantage in a goal.
After that, the both teams scored two more sucessfull goals, with Mark Arcobello giving the Americans a 3-1 lead just over eight minutes remaining and then Sergey Plotnikov pulling Russia within one with 3:41 to play. Brock Nelson scored into the empty net in the closing seconds to seal it.
The Americans now have 3-0 result in Group B, while the Russians got the first defeat after two victories.
