The renowned fashion designer Pierre Cardin arrives in Moscow to watch Lenkom`s play “Yunona i Avos” this Thursday.
      
      ”Pierre Cardin wants to organize a world tour with our play “Yunona i Avos”. The tour will start with participation in the theatre festival held by Cardin in a small town by Avignon. I have already visited that open stage reminding of a Greek theatre”, - says Mark Varshaver, the director of Lenkom Theatre.
      
      Later, in early September the play will be performed in Cardin`s theatre in Paris.
      For the first time Cardin brought Lenkom`s “Yunona i Avos” to Paris in the early 1980s. The rock-opera starring Nikolai Karachentsov those days was an overwhelming success.
      
      Now the main part (that of Russian Count Nikoli Rezanov) is played by Dmitri Pevtsov.
      The plot of the play is based on the life story of Count Rezanov who sailed to the far-away land of California on two ships Yunona and Avos in 1806.
